Job Description

The ideal candidate will be a good listener, patient, dedicated, quick thinking problem solver with the ability to interpret and then respond to customer needs. Articulate, self-motivated responsive QA manager with the ability to articulate concepts and make things fit in multiple ways will do well in this role. Priority will be given to someone with enterprise software experience. They will be open minded, adaptable, responsive, innovative who listen’s well, uses critical thinking to understand the client’s needs and matches the company’s platforms to solve the need of the client. A team player, confident, with excellent communication skills at all levels of an organization.
 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the QA group.
    • Assign tasks to the team members based on their strength
    • Setting up goals and objectives for team members
    • Finding and arranging training needs for the team
    • Resolving conflicts among team members
    • Maintaining healthy relationships between cross functional teams (Development, PM, Client Services, etc.)
    • Ensure that the highly motivated environment is created in the team
    • Focal point of contact for the QA team for all the escalations related to testing and Quality assurance
    • Sending crisp and clear status to the upper management
    • Creating and defining risks contingencies and plans
    • Seeking feedback from management when and wherever necessary
  • Defining quality standards and metrics for the project/product
  • Working with stake holders to ensure that the quality metrics is reviewed, closed and agreed upon
  • Create milestones, checkpoints, and measurable criteria to verify quality on timely basis
  • Defining test plan and testing cycle
  • Planning and scheduling milestones and tasks (alpha, beta, release testing)
  • Ensuring all development tasks meet quality criteria through test planning, test execution, quality assurance and issue tracking
  • Identify opportunities for automation
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree in CS/CE (or related field) or equivalent work experience
  • Must have played the role of a hand-on QA person for 3+ years, testing Microsoft-based web/desktop/mobile applications
  • Experience with automation tool a plus
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Construction industry knowledge a plus
  • Testing, computer literacy and customer relation skills are required
