Job Description

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and well-organized individual with strong technical aptitude to join our team as a Cloud Specialist. As part of the B2W Support Team, you’ll be a primary resource for installing, configuring, managing, troubleshooting, and supporting a variety of B2W Software applications within the B2W Cloud. You’ll provide technical support to our cloud customers when issues arise, perform database migrations, first-time installations, and updates for all cloud-based B2W applications, and serve as the primary escalation point for the support team for all cloud-related matters. Since certain cloud activities cannot be performed during normal business hours, our ideal candidate may be required to some work non-traditional hours.   

Primary Responsibilities

  • Primary resource for onboarding new B2W Cloud customers
    • Product installations
    • Work with implementation / organize kick off calls
    • Create site, icons, and users
    • Migrate data for test
    • Work through any integration needs
    • Migrate data for production
    • Support issues during process
  • Main resource for B2W Cloud customer off boarding
    • Supply data backup
    • Assist in migration
    • Removal of Sites, Icons, and Accounts
  • Update hosted products as new releases become available
  • Work with customers to schedule downtime
  • Perform update process
  • Administer Cloud Platform      
  • Sites, Users, Icons, Licensing
  • Administration of B2W Cloud server environments
  • Keep internal documentation up to date and current, including the creation of knowledge base articles
  • Maintain awareness and ownership of cases pertaining to B2W Cloud customers
  • Meet with cloud provider as needed to review and escalate cases
  • Liaise with Engineering and cloud provider to troubleshoot and resolve environmental problems
  • Escalation point for B2W Support team for critical after hours issues
  • Create test plans and perform testing for new and future cloud clients
  • Key resource for configuring third-party cloud applications (i.e., SSMS, Report builder, Workbenches, etc.)
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

  • College degree or 1–3 years of experience in a field suitable to the role
  • Understanding and experience with cloud service providers
  • Experience with monitoring and auditing systems
  • Ability to deploy, manage, and administer virtual machines
  • Familiarity with how to create, understand, and execute PowerShell scripts
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Reporting Services (related tools like SSMS and Configuration Mangers)
  • Understanding of database High Availably Availability/Disaster Recovery (HADR) and network application load balancing Experience with installing .NET applications and web services
  • Capable of staying well-organized while maintaining multiple projects at once
  • Highly organized with high attention to detail
  • Natural troubleshooting instincts and utilizing logs to troubleshoot issues
